Roblox — Dungeon Quest

Hey, do you know Roblox? Roblox is an online game platform with tons of people. Here you can choose games to play that people made. Or you can choose to make your own game. But we are not going to talk about that today. Instead we are going to talk about one of the best games on Roblox that my Dad and I ever played. Let me present (drumroll please) Roblox Dungeon Quest!

Hi, I’m Dean, and I played this game a lot. I am 71st level so I have a lot of experience in the game, though my friend is way better than I am. Still I know a lot so stay a while and listen while I tell you about the game.

The genre is Adventuring, and more specifically it is an RPG. In it you can level up your character and use the points that you receive to up your stats. You have three stats. They are Physical Power, Spell Power and Stamina. Let’s explain what they are. Physical power is an attack that you use with your hands – a melee attack. The more physical power you have the more melee damage you do. Spell power is a magic level that you use with your spells. The more spell power you have, the more powerful the spells are. And stamina gives you more hit points so you can live longer.

Items – there are items that have different grades like common, uncommon, rare, epic, and best of all legendary. The item has stats too but the only stats are upgrades, how much gold it’s worth and the most important one, its physical damage and magic levels. And also if you have a legendary, pros can trade very good stuff for it. But not only that, the pros sometimes don’t care if it’s not good. It’s just because of how rare legendary is. 

The story of the Dungeon Quest begins in a town. Well it used to be a village but with every update it gets bigger and bigger and it fills with more stupid people. Well, some of them are stupid. Some are really good. You can make great friends, buy and sell items, and explore or hang out here. During this time of Covid that is very good because then us kids have a safe place to meet and talk.

At the start you have an easy tutorial. In the tutorial, if you choose to enter it, you have this menu where the game maker shows you how to upgrade and fight and also how to use spells. It is very good at teaching you how to play the game when you are ready to adventure and go on quests.

Also this game has secrets, and they’re not just secrets but also a key to something. You see, in the middle of the town lobby, there is a sword in some sort of stone. My friend tells me that you can get the sword if you can find all of the secret eggs, because each egg lights a rune around the sword. There is a secret egg in every quest.

However, another friend showed me that many Youtubers have gotten the eggs and lit up the runes and yet they can’t get the sword. There is a lot of conversation over this — what do the runes do? What is the big secret? Maybe, if you play, you can be the one to crack the code!

Some say that not all of the runes are out yet. I hope that is true. Because I believe that that sword has a secret to all parts of the game. If you are able to wield the sword I’d say you will be in a great position. And I really want to see what it looks like if someone can take the sword because the sword is in a hard magical stone. Will there be an explosion? Will there be bright light? I imagine a powerful beam coming down from the sky and blasting the sword, cracking the stone open and unlocking it. I bet it will look amazing.

Finding the secrets is fun too because secrets can be hidden anywhere. Including a place you might say that’s silly. Like behind a very rusty shed that looks like copper. I don’t like copper, it’s a basic resource. Yet there it is, in the winter quest, one of the most important magical things in the game is behind stupid, basic, unimportant copper. Copper is ugly and I didn’t ever expect anything to be hiding in such a stupid place. 

Now, very important to the game is your levels. Let’s just say that the adventuring part of the game is about levels for adventuring. If you don’t have the right levels then you can’t do what you want to do. You can only do certain stuff if you’re at a high enough level. Or you will need to patiently level up if you don’t have the proper levels. But it can also be a problem because it takes a long time. Gamewise I would say you would need to keep doing what you are supposed to do, which is grinding and having fun with friends. 

Tip: at the start if you know how to play the game you don’t need to do the tutorial.

If you don’t have enough levels, keep leveling up until you reach your goal to the next stage.

If you have a friend that’s new to the game you can help your friend by trading (but also people can scam you so be wise about trading). You can also trade with random players.

But don’t get scammed or if you were scammed and you had a good item of yours on the trading list you are in bad luck.
