More Gaming with Kids!

Like a lot of parents, I love spending time sharing my hobbies and interests with my kids! I have been playing Tabletop RPGs since the 1980s, and have gone on many adventures. Now is the time to share those adventures of the imagination with my kids and grandkids.

One thing that can be tricky to do is find an adventure suitable for kids. I grew up on Saturday Morning Cartoons, before Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney made cartoons all day. One of my favorites was Thundarr the Barbarian. So imagine my happiness in finding the Tabletop RPG Barbarians of the Ruined Earth and their first adventure features kids as the protagonists!

The basic rules are fairly simple, but with a great deal of room to modify and change characters. The characters themselves are based on any number of Saturday Morning Cartoons, or cartoons from the current shows and movies! Just find a show you and your kids enjoy, and begin your adventures!

The Slave Mines of Vindicus the Terrible is an excellent adventure for kids, as it does not focus on fighting, but rather on teamwork and problem-solving. The characters are kids themselves, and certainly not strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the robots and monsters employed by Vindicus himself! Kids that attack right away will find themselves quickly recaptured and sent back to their cells.

Hi there! A little something about me? I am a retired Navy vet, currently an Army Civilian, and an author. The last one is the important one for this site! I have been working on my Isekai Kids series for about a year, and believe it is my best work so far. In addition to working and writing, I'm an avid gamer, playing board games, Tabletop RPGs, and video games of all sorts. I've also been known to race mountain bikes and road bikes, but lately, I've been sticking to just riding around to see the sights. I have one other book: The Demon Eye Gem. It is currently not available as I work to revise and edit the manuscript, but will return before Christmas.
